The event aimed to explore the Greek presence in modern and contemporary Alexandria through field research, documentation, and participatory mapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">The workshop took place from&nbsp;<strong>11 to 15 April 2026<\/strong>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<strong>Raquda Foundation \u2013 Alexandria<\/strong>, followed by a&nbsp;<strong>final exhibition from 16 to 19 April 2026<\/strong>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<strong>Greek Community \u2013 Shatby, Alexandria<\/strong>. It brought together a selected group of 15 participants who were guided by experts including photographers, architects, heritage researchers, and cultural heritage specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"323\" height=\"323\" src=\"http:\/\/shad-alfegyptiannetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Picture1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shad-alfegyptiannetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Picture1.jpg 323w, https:\/\/shad-alfegyptiannetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Picture1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/shad-alfegyptiannetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Picture1-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 323px) 100vw, 323px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">The initiative was designed to examine how sites associated with the Greek community have changed over time, and to explore the relationship between the city and its communities as part of Alexandria\u2019s shared memory. Participants engaged in field exploration, site documentation, interviews with local residents, collection of visual materials, and the creation of interactive maps.
